Why should you hire a skip bin?
Our skip bins are available in two different sizes, 4m³ or 7m³, depending on the amount of rubbish you need removed.
While skips are great for getting rid of most types of rubbish, you can’t put oil, tyres, asbestos, paint or chemicals in our bins. These things need to be disposed of properly, and we don’t have the expertise or licences to deal with these materials.
When hiring a skip, we recommend leaving a 1m perimeter around your bin when deciding where to place it. We can put a skip anywhere you can fit a truck, and the buffer ensures there’s no chance of damage to property when delivering or picking it up. Our 4m3 bin is the perfect size for clearing out old rubbish in the shed or around the home. Of course, if you’re clearing the yard as well as the interior of your home, we recommend upsizing to the 7m3 bin to make sure all of your waste will fit.
Legally, your skip bin can only be filled to the rim. Overfilled skip bins are unsafe during transport and can cause damage to other vehicles on the road. In these cases, we will ask you to remove the overfill before we remove your skip bin.
If you get close to filling your skip bin and still have a large amount of rubbish to remove, we always recommend ordering a second bin.
We will typically place the bin in your driveway, as that’s the easiest access point. However, we can put a skip bin anywhere on your property as long as there’s enough space for our trucks to fit.
Skips placed in public areas, such as your nature strip or on the road, require council permits. If this is where you want to put your skip, our friendly team can assist you.
